We currently operate as a Level 4 QSE in ERCOT with 24×7 Operations, which is predicated on the complex risk management tools, strong relationships, and solid experience developed over many years in the industry. MP2 Energy provides power and gas scheduling for over 700 MW of capacity, while monitoring day ahead and realtime power prices and opportunities to optimize revenue for customers. Pacific Summit Energy LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Corp of America, has partnered with MP2 Energy to deliver a complete energy management package for asset owners including credit, fuel supply, and power monetization.
The MP2 Energy trading team is fluent in the wholesale energy markets, generation and load optimization, and retail electricity supply business. We pride ourselves in fundamental research, monitoring market activity, and tracking proposed and new legislation applicable to the power markets. Day to day operations include a constant refinement of our proprietary view of economic dispatch costs and various market elements that influence realtime and forward price curves.
