Trey Price
Trey is the Vice President of Retail Sales at MP2 Energy. Trey’s background has carried him from wholesale power plant operations, to retail operations in both ERCOT and PJM, and through trading at a large bank. Trey began at MPower Retail Energy as a realtime plant operator to manage and schedule generation assets, demand response loads, and MPower’s significant retail load. Trey later assumed the role of managing pricing requests from brokerage and consulting firms, negotiating and executing contracts. Trey moved with MPower as it was sold to Champion Energy Services and again later to Lehman Brothers. Through those transitions, Trey was a leading business generator and participated in the development of innovative products. Trey joined Credit Suisse Energy’s ERCOT team in 2008 and was exposed to trading on a larger scale being responsible for power scheduling and analyzing loads, weather, transmission, and regulatory issues that affected market pricing and function. He later assumed the role of trading daily cash positions including multiple options and synthetic load structures. Trey joined the MP2 Energy team in July 2009 and manages third party aggregator, broker, and consultant channel partners on both Retail and Demand Response sales.
Trey is a graduate of the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Finance and holds a Series 7 license.
