Jonathan is the President of Wholesale Supply for MP2 Energy.  Prior to MP2, Jonathan was a Vice President on the Houston trading desk at Credit Suisse, where he managed a complex book of business as a market maker in short term ERCOT. This included heat rate options, load following, fixed load shapes, fixed price power and gas options, and block physical and financial power. Jonathan helped establish Credit Suisse’s ERCOT business as one of the original traders on the desk. He contributed to the success of the business by leveraging his client relationships and his deep understanding of generation, load and grid operations. He worked on innovative structures that minimized risks (load price/correlation, shape coefficients, other Greeks) and reduced costs for the banks clients utilizing his deep understanding of financial modeling. Jonathan developed risk and pricing models that enabled quick deal and trading decision making.

Prior to trading, Jonathan supported the energy trading desks as a controller at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. He helped build out the infrastructure at Credit Suisse when the company began trading energy and has a deep understanding of the front to back operations of a trading desk. He additionally has experience in credit analysis through his prior role as an underwriter at Wachovia.

Jonathan earned his B.S. in Finance and Economics from Lehigh University and holds Series 7, 63, and 3 certifications.
