Jim Starcher

Jim is the Chief Technology Officer for MP2.  As a Certified Public Accountant with an interest in computer applications, Jim has pursued a career of applying technology to solve Energy Industry issues in Accounting and Finance.  Over the past nineteen years Jim has held staff and managerial positions for notable Energy companies such as Tesoro Petroleum, Valero Energy, and Champion Energy Services while it was a Lehman Brothers subsidiary.  Jim has also performed significant systems/business process consulting engagements for Texas Retail Electric Providers (REP), such as Mpower Energy Services and Credit Suisse Energy.  Most recently, Jim started a REP in Texas, Altres Energy, in order to develop and implement the full range of systems in a true production environment.

Jim has eight years of experience implementing Enterprise Finance and Accounting Solutions as an Independent SAP consultant for clients such as Luby’s Cafeterias, Hitachi High Technology, and CertainTeed (St. Gobain).  Since 2004, he has focused completely on the deregulated power market in Texas–designing and building custom applications for Retail Electric Providers.

Jim is a 1990 graduate of Texas A&M University with a  BBA in Accounting.
