Frank Bryan

As MP2 Energy’s Vice President of Risk, Frank brings over 5 years of industry experience in a variety of roles in Commercial Supply, Structuring, and Risk. This broad background allows Frank to grasp the diverse risks faced by MP2’s complex portfolio.

Frank spent 4 years at Reliant Energy Inc and was instrumental in Reliant’s sale of the retail business to NRG. Frank was among the first to meet with NRG staff before close and setup the risk management methodology, business processes, and communication between the two organizations. In the commercial group, Frank oversaw all aspects of the Retail commercial process including: load forecasting, wholesale transactions, purchase of originated products, and the tactical management of the portfolio in the cash month. Frank spent 2 years in Reliant’s risk group. He transformed Reliant’s deal capture and valuation for the commercial and industrial segment. Frank ensured compliance with the Merrill Lynch Credit structure in both ERCOT and PJM and led the integration of the complex retail structuring function into Reliant’s pricing group.

Prior to Reliant, Frank worked in the settlement group at the Lower Colorado River Authority in Austin, TX, delivering transparent shadow settlement and participating in the Nodal Market design process. Frank is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a BBA in Finance.
